About Amy Niebel, owner of Double Plus Green
I am a tree-hugging nerd with a flair for design. When my hands aren’t busy typing code or designing, I love to get them dirty in my organic garden.
I’ve been obsessed with design since high school, when I was enrolled in an invitation-only Commercial Art course, for which all the assignments were done by hand. Working manually gave me a strong advantage once graphic design made the inevitable switch to computers, since the core functionality of the applications was based on traditional freehand techniques.
I am self-taught in hardware and software but have been formally trained in computer animation. A big fan of Flash, I have developed numerous websites and am Adobe Certified. Despite an early vow that I would never write a line of code, I am now fluent in Actionscript, CSS, XHTML, XML, Javascript and a bit of PHP.
Of my qualities, clients are most pleased with my keen eye for detail, sense of integrity, and compassion. It is my mission to deliver eye-catching design powered by renewable energy.
